 The Caminando Project was founded by Maryknoll Mission Father Thomas Goekler MM. Maryknoll Affiliates continue with the program in Guatemala City. The main focus in on education of marginalized children. Students are given educational opportunities in local schools and there are even some students who's only educational opportunity is the tutoring sessions at the program center.
