Our coffee is from Honduras, where we have a direct sales agreement with the producers. We sell roasted coffee, either ground or whole bean. You can select Regular, Dark Roast, or French Roast, as well as Decaf coffee.
Because our coffee is freshly roasted, we always have a supply of green coffee beans, which we also sell. |
Coffee With a Cause
Family Coffee is a project of Misioneros Caminando Por La Paz, in Guatemala, which was founded by Maryknoll Missioner Father Thomas Goekler, MM. Maryknoll Affiliates continue to support Caminando's various projects in Guatemala City, including an education program which places marginalized youth in local schools and universities. When you purchase our coffee, you provide materials for the tutoring sessions for the children Caminando serves. The parents of many of these poor kids cannot afford to offer them any other educational opportunity. Although we receive donations from a small core of dedicated donors, we continuously strive to find individuals who want to help.
The sale of Family Coffee also provides funding to our partners, the "productores de Café la Familia." Our producer group grows this premium coffee in Yauner, San Pedro, Copan, Honduras. Their coffee grows at an altitude of 1,400 meters (4,593 feet), an excellent altitude for growing coffee.
